Information

I met Shyler, my future wife, in 2009. She had been newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease and found kombucha as a daily remedy for digestive wellness. Since that time, Shyler has achieved a Master's in Functional Nutrition and has dedicated her career to helping other individuals and companies with nutrition guidance.
When I met Shyler, I was a bar manager and a novice cocktail enthusiast. I spent the next 10 years creating and working in recognized bar programs and also on behalf of different spirit brands.
Shyler and I decided that our skills and expertise could unite to create a better-tasting functional beverage in the form of kombucha. Unfortunately, my father passed from alcoholism a few years ago, providing extra motivation. Growing up in the alcohol industry, it is more meaningful than ever that we have created a delicious, healthy beverage that can take the place of a beer or a cocktail when the consumer is taking a break from alcohol or choosing to abstain from alcohol completely.
Shyler and I launched Alive & Well Kombucha in May of 2023, and we have been overwhelmed with positive feedback from both category fans and skeptics. Everyone agrees that our flavor profiles are much less vinegary and acidic than any other kombucha previously tried. We promote health by broadening the functional beverage category and creating new everyday kombucha drinkers.
