During their childhood, Nicole and Jess spent their summers body surfing in the ocean and enjoying watersports at the lake, taking the pristine waters and plastic-free beaches for granted. However, as humans, we now face a future where our seas are overrun with plastic. Nicole & Jess identified a significant contributor to this issue is plastic bottled water, which remains incredibly popular despite the availability of reusable bottles and refill stations.
To address this problem, Nicole and Jess devised a practical solution. In 2014, they founded Open Water, a bottled water company with a difference. Their mission is to eliminate 1 billion plastic bottles within the next 5 years. Open Water stands as a testament to their determination to make a positive impact on our environment and change the way we think about our plastic consumption.
