Our company was founded by a non-profit in 1996, as an early model for what Fair Trade might look like. We named one of our early roasts "Guatemalan Peace Coffee" as a celebration of the 1996 Guatemalan Peace Accords, and the name stuck. To this day, we remain committed to fair trade, organic, specialty coffee - and our commitment to our supply chain and our Minneapolis community have resulted in being awarded a B Corp "Best for the World" in the Community category for the fourth consecutive time. We're starry-eyed dreamers who believe in bicycle power, being nice, and bringing neighbors, farmers, and the community together. We believe that collaboration works wonders, and that passion, honesty, and a really great cup of coffee can make the world a better place. And when that coffee is sustainably grown and freshly roasted to bring out the best in every bean, well, that's when the real magic happens.
