Damm is a Spanish brewing company founded in Barcelona in 1876 by Alsatian immigrants, August Kuentzmann Damm and his wife Melanie, to create a beer suitable for the Mediterranean climate. Initially named "Strasburger beer," it was later renamed Estrella Damm in honor of the "star" symbol.
