Our business roots trace back to 1736, when we started selling shichimi by weight, sitting simply on a rush mat on the street.
Our story began on the grounds of the magnificent Zenkoji Temple in Nagano, where we initially offered our spices as souvenirs to pilgrims. Our shichimi became so reputable that a theory suggests it came to be regarded as a de facto travel pass for those returning from Nagano.
Today, we continue this tradition by expanding our reach, not only across Japan but also to international markets worldwide.
