Meriwether Farms
Information
We all remember during COVID when there were various grocery stores that couldn't provide food, specifically meat, on the shelves. The founder of the company was so alarmed by this, that she left a career in Washington, DC in order to prioritize protecting Americans' access to healthy and wholesome food.
The founder took an operational and multigenerational family-run farm, and with her connections and resources, brought the beef raised there directly to consumers. The company owns a 14,000 square foot state of the art processing facility in which all the beef is humanely harvested, cut and packaged. Unlike other direct to consumer beef companies, who outsource a lot of the supply chain, Meriwether controls the whole chain, making it immune to various market fluctuations, supply chain interruptions, and other instances that can simply put small food producers out of business. This also ensures that Meriwether Farms' customers feel truly confident that they know where their beef is coming from.
