The original focus behind Unbroken was to solve hospital malnutrition by extracting free-form amino acids from fresh salmon — a natural superfood rich in essential amino acids, vitamins, and micronutrients. Through our unique enzymatic process, the resulting amino acids and peptides achieve an exceptionally low average molecular weight of 374 Dalton, giving them very high bioavailability, no digestive cost, and rapid absorption within minutes. The aim was to create a highly efficient nutritional solution for individuals whose digestive systems were under stress.
Over the years, we have conducted several clinical studies, obtained GRAS affirmation, and ensured that every batch is tested for banned substances under WADA guidelines. Our process uses the salmon's own natural enzymes to pre-digest intact salmon protein, mimicking the human digestive system and producing a potent complex of free-form amino acids and short-chain bioactive peptides.
We initially launched our ingredient brand Amizate in 1997. In 2019, after being recognized by doctors in sports nutrition, we created our consumer brand Unbroken (www.unbrokenrtr.com). Today, Unbroken supports people across general wellness, healthy ageing, active nutrition, and medical nutrition.
