When Taiwan began implementing its plastic reduction policies, Benson, the founder of Wonder Greener, was running a café and immediately felt the impact. Stainless steel straws raised hygiene concerns, while paper straws were not durable enough to provide a reliable experience. Realizing that existing options were neither practical nor truly sustainable, we began searching for a better solution. During this process, we discovered natural plant straws used in Vietnam, which inspired us to explore the possibility of cultivating this material in Taiwan.
Starting with a single cluster of grass found in a local botanical garden, we spent years experimenting with cultivation, breeding, and adaptation. The journey involved many challenges and repeated failures, but through continuous adjustments and persistence, we eventually established our own grass farm and straw factory in Taiwan, enabling stable, local production of natural plant-based straws.
To us, this journey represents more than creating a product—it reflects our commitment to a more sustainable future. We firmly believe that every purchase and every use of our products is an act of regeneration.
