AvoPro proudly sources its avocados mainly from the stunning Mt. Kenya region, known for being one of East Africa’s agricultural gems. The area's volcanic soil and perfect climate allow us to cultivate exceptional Hass organic avocados that consistently meet high-quality standards. Our dedication to quality is evident in our cold-press extraction method, which captures the pure essence of organic avocado oil while preserving its natural nutrients and ensuring it’s free of additives and contaminants.
At AvoPro, we utilize advanced technology and strict quality controls in our state-of-the-art processing facilities to adhere to internationally recognized food safety standards. Our committed workforce oversees every production step, from handling raw materials to thoughtfully packaging the final product. We maintain complete traceability throughout our supply chain, enabling every bottle of AvoPro Avocado Oil to trace back to its source.
Our supply model focuses on building strong partnerships with organic-certified smallholder farmers. Over 80% of the avocados we use come from these passionate farmers, supplemented by larger farms and prequalified independent growers. We empower our farmers by providing ongoing technical support to help them meet export market standards, increase yields, and maintain consistent quality. Our Fair for Life certification underscores our commitment to equitable pricing and stable market access for our partners.
Currently, we collaborate with more than 8,000 smallholder farmers across Kenya and Tanzania, providing them with training, extension services, and a guaranteed offtake to access premium export markets. Our digital traceability system links each batch of exported oil to its farms, promoting transparency and accountability while enhancing farmers' incomes, which supports job creation and economic growth, particularly for youth and women in rural areas.
Environmental stewardship is central to AvoPro’s mission. While avocado farming can be water-intensive and prone to monoculture practices, our decentralized production model thrives on small farms averaging just 2 to 4 acres. This approach reduces environmental pressure, improves working conditions, and increases local food availability compared to large industrial plantations. We also contribute to our community by providing free water through our social responsibility initiatives.
AvoPro embraces a circular production model, viewing by-products from avocado oil extraction—such as peels, stones, and spent pulp—as valuable resources. We repurpose these materials into sustainable and commercially viable products, reducing waste and enhancing efficiency.
By promoting sustainable farming practices such as intercropping, we encourage farmers to grow other crops alongside their avocados. This not only improves soil health but also diversifies crop options for household consumption and livestock feed, fostering resilience against monoculture challenges.
As a result, AvoPro’s avocado oil is sourced from orchards that thrive on nutrient-rich, well-maintained soils, supporting both environmental sustainability and consistent product quality. Together, we’re building a brighter, more sustainable future for everyone involved!
