Demeter is the official certifier for the highest and oldest standards in organic, regenerative agriculture: Biodynamic. Originally founded in Germany in 1928, today it is an international federation with 63 member-countries and over 7,000 farmers worldwide. Demeter USA certifies all Biodynamic® farms and products in America, including food, wine, honey, consumer-packaged goods, supplements, cosmetics, textiles, seeds and compost.

At the heart of Biodynamic farming is a deep reverence for nature, and a recognition that everything in nature is interconnected and interacting. The Biodynamic Method views each farm as its own unique, living ecosystem, and it strives to create a balanced, harmonic system in which fertility is generated from within and pests are subdued naturally.
