Mochi Foods was founded in 2015 as a woman-owned, family-run business rooted in our deep love for food, culture, and connection. Our journey began in Hawaii, where food is more than just a meal—it's a celebration of family, tradition, and community. Growing up surrounded by the flavors and stories passed down through generations, we saw an opportunity to reimagine one of our favorite ingredients—mochi—and share its chewy, joyful texture with a wider audience.

What started in our family kitchen with a few hand-packed bags of mochi donut mix quickly turned into something much bigger. With no outside investors or flashy backing—just grit, heart, and the unwavering support of each other—we introduced the very first mochi donut mix to the U.S. market. We believed there was something special in the blend of tradition and innovation, and that belief fueled us to keep going, even when the path wasn't easy.

From that humble beginning, Mochi Foods has grown into one of the fastest-growing artisan baking brands in the country.
