PKN Founder, Laura Shenkar, was working in Central Texas to preserve freshwater ecosystems and observed the economic struggles of pecan farmers. Pecan halves fetch a premium price, but farmers were seldom able to monetize leftover pecan pieces.
With the launch of PKN non-dairy milks and creamers, we have created a new revenue stream for pecan farmers and created opportunity to support their transition to sustainable farming operations. Alt-milk and traditional dairy consumers can now enjoy rich, delicious, real pecan milk products without adding to the environmental impact of other milks.
