Baobab Foods

For us, everything starts with the majestic baobab tree and its fruit- a wild harvested tree crop and keystone species of the African Savannah. We work with a network of harvesting cooperatives in Southern Africa and process all baobab fruit at our HQ in South Africa. Our primary business has always been as a producer and supplier of baobab fruit powder in the B2B ingredient (food, beverage, supplements) space.

We believe the supply chain of baobab is inspiring and important; a growing global market for baobab would have a profound impact on the lives of the communities we work with. We estimate that by 2030, the global baobab market could bring over $1B per year into Africa, much of that in the rural communities that harvest the fruit, as well as provide a perennial source of income and protect the baobab trees- a keystone species of the iconic African savannah.

In 2024, we launched our Baobab Superfruit Bites, a clean label, deliciously addictive fruit snack, to better tell the story of baobab with the world. We will continue to add new product lines going forward, all centered around baobab fruit.
