Better Together Foods was founded in 2022 with a simple mission: to make sweet snacks that are actually better for you. Our journey began years earlier when our founder, Jiashu Du, was a food science student at the University of Minnesota. During his undergraduate capstone project, Jiashu and his classmates set out to create the healthiest sweet snack possible — one without refined sugar or seed oils, but still full of flavor and joy.
That student idea became the foundation for Maple Pop!, our first product line: organic caramel popcorn naturally sweetened with maple syrup, baked instead of coated, and made with only five clean ingredients launched in November 2024. What started as a small kitchen experiment quickly evolved into a fast-growing snack brand now found in Sprouts, Erewhon, Safeway, New Seasons, and more.
Our name, Better Together, reflects everything we stand for — better ingredients, better communities, and a belief that we can enjoy sweet treats and feel good about them.
