It all began in 1990 with the founder's grandmother's fudge sauce recipe. Using fresh, clean ingredients, the company founders enhanced the original recipe and began producing Bittersweet Chocolate Sauce in their home kitchen. Living in a small town in the mountains of Montana, they were inspired to make products that were fresh, clean and pure - free from preservatives, thickeners, emulsifiers, and artificial colors and flavors. They took samples to a food show and came home with orders, necessitating a move to a local commercial kitchen. After successfully launching a clean-label cream caramel sauce, they built a larger facility where they could produce at a scale that enabled them to keep up with orders. As sales grew, they expanded their facility once again.
