Our founder, Jonghoon Lim, was inspired by his father's discovery of how to use the whole soybean to make a better and more nutritious soymilk in Korea. For centuries, tofu and soymilk have stood as nutritional powerhouses, yet their production involved a wasteful process leaving behind a treasure trove of nutrients known as okara. Having spent much time in the US, Jonghoon noticed a need to bring this plant-based beverage concept to the US market. After extensive research and recognizing a need for both people and planet health, the WholeMoon brand was founded in 2023.
