Information
It all started during a trip to visit my extended family in Malaysia back in 2008. They served me a snack that I loved, and when I realized it was a mushroom I knew I had something special to share with the world.
This snack used shiitake mushrooms and provided a delicious umami flavor and soft chewy texture that was unlike any vegetarian snack I'd ever had. I started importing this snack that they made and selling Pan's Mushroom Jerky part-time. When we had enough traction, I decided to quit my full time job and start producing Pan's and focusing on growing our retail and online sales.
Today, we make Pan's products in Portland Oregon and we're available in over 2,500 stores across the country. We've gotten fantastic organic press from publications like The Wall Street Journal, Today, Food & Wine, and we were featured on Shark Tank twice during season 12.
