JuicyBite started with a simple question: why isn't America — the capital of fitness culture — offering the kind of high-protein, convenient chicken breast products that revolutionized diets in Korea?

Back when I was a private equity consultant at Alvarez & Marsal, I took a trip back to my motherland, South Korea, and saw shelves lined with single-serve, ready-to-eat chicken breasts. These weren't the dry, bland chicken breasts we're used to — they were juicy, flavorful, and packed with protein. This one product had reshaped how Koreans approached fitness and nutrition, fueling the rise of protein culture you see today in shows like Physical 100.

I dug deeper and realized that major Korean RTE (ready-to-eat) chicken brands had tried to enter the U.S. market, but all struggled due to manufacturing barriers. With my background in operations and manufacturing consulting, I knew this was a solvable problem — so I quit my job, partnered with the right teams, and launched Korkio in 2023: the first Korean-influenced RTE chicken breast company in the U.S.

After dominating niche Asian markets and becoming a best-seller on platforms like Weee!, we've now rebranded as JuicyBite to bring our mission to the mainstream: making clean, delicious protein as easy as tearing open a pouch.
