Save the Bee

Information

Founded in 2012, Save the Bee® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to protect the pollinators that sustain our food system, environment, and health.

At Expo West, we’re bringing the story to life.

Our booth features live honey bees in a working observation hive and the Bee Impact Wall, a visual map of how pollination connects fruits, vegetables, nuts, oils, livestock feed, fibers, and final consumer products across the natural products industry. It’s a firsthand look at the invisible system that powers nearly every aisle at the show.

Bees pollinate roughly 75 percent of the crops that keep us fed and healthy. They support forage for livestock, fiber for clothing, and countless ingredients brands rely on every day. Yet commercial beekeepers are losing colonies at alarming rates due to disease, habitat loss, and environmental stress.

Save the Bee funds bee and hive health research, restores pollinator habitat on working lands, and supports education and beekeeper resilience nationwide. Our work goes beyond honey to the full role bees play in sustaining food systems and biodiversity.

We work directly with farmers, researchers, and food brands through our Save the Bee licensing and collaboration program. Partners integrate real pollinator impact into products, packaging, and storytelling while funding research, habitat restoration, and on-the-ground solutions.

At Expo West, we’re here to educate, connect, and collaborate.Come see the bees.
