Founded in 2008, Mid-States Specialty Eggs was created by Marion Hostetler and family friend Dale Shrock in order "to produce a healthy product for the consumer in a way that supports our family farms." Today Marion and Dale are joined with other farmer-owners on the board of directors. Together, they guide the company that serves more than 750 family farms across the U.S. Mid-States Specialty Eggs is 100 percent employee-owned, as stock has been sold to employees since 2015. "As owners of this organization we all look at it as being part of our life mission, part of our calling here on earth, to create an environment for farmers to thrive," shares Dale.
Our organization provides high-quality eggs and egg products with in-shell free range, pasture-raised, organic, regeneratively farmed, and even heirloom eggs.
