Founded in 1992, Spring Sunrise is a family-owned enterprise. We are stewards of a practical, time-honored tradition; refining butter into its highest quality state - ghee! Our journey began with a profound appreciation for the wisdom of multiple cultures and generations past, and a respect for the gifts of nature.
Our founders, John and Christina Revolinski, moved to Fairfield, Iowa, in 1980 and started a home food business in 1992 to supplement John's earnings at a local non-profit.
When 12-year-old Donald came home from school with a watercolor he titled, "A Spring Sunrise," the business became "Spring Sunrise Natural Foods."
On April 18, 2018 the company moved into the new production facility they built just outside of town. Son, Donald, joined the company as a managing partner.
