Trimona Foods

Our founder - Atanas Valev brought (or rather smuggled) two glass jars of Bulgarian yogurt to the US some twenty years. Using the cultures from those jars he made authentic Bulgarian yogurt at home for many years, until friends and family suggested he try selling it to farmers' markets and health food shops. No long thereafter, a chance encounter with regional Whole Foods buyer at on of those markets resulted in a listing with Whole Foods NE. As they say, the rest is history...
