Without any middle men, the German-Kenyan company enters the international market and assures a competitive price-performance ratio as well as a high product quality due to the fresh produce that has been sourced directly from the farm.

Cultivation on organic mixed farms

Grown free of chemical pesticides in mixed cultures, the kernels, avocados and mangoes comply with the high standards of quality and health conscious consumers. At the same time, value creation is left on site and the standard of living of the rural population is improved.

Local production in Kenya

By now, LIMBUA comprises four decentralized, modern production facilities, which are located close to the farmers. The self-developed manufacturing processes enable a high quality standard. This has created over 700 jobs in the countryside, offering women in particular the opportunity to generate an income and experience self-empowerment.

Multiple certified

On the way from the farm to the packaged product, all products are subjected to multiple quality controls. LIMBUA is, among other certifications, IFS-certified, so you can be sure that all LIMBUA macadamia nuts comply with the highest food quality and safety requirements.

Extended portfolio: Avocado Oil and Dried Mangoes

In order to bring more fair products from the farmers to the market, LIMBUA is continuously developing ideas: the company has established two new business lines with the production of avocado oil and dried mango. The avocados and mangos are purchased from the same smallholders as the macadamia nuts. All three products are grown on mixed, certified organic farms, which has a positive impact on biodiversity and boosts the company’s resilience in the face of climate change.

100% traceability

Besides the certified quality, LIMBUA also guarantees absolute transparency. Our self-developed digital system allows 100% traceability of the products from farm to packaging. This creates a high level of transparency and trust: for the smallholders and, of course, the demanding quality customers worldwide.
