In 2022, NOBS was started because standard toothpaste wasn't working for us.
One co-founder is a dentist with geographic tongue who couldn't tolerate most formulas. Another dealt with lifelong tooth sensitivity and never found a toothpaste that actually helped. The common thread was irritation, bloated ingredient lists, and products that promised a lot but delivered very little.
Nano hydroxyapatite changed the conversation. It's the same mineral teeth are made of and has been used globally for enamel support for decades. But when we tried existing options, the experience fell short. The formulas were overbuilt, the tablets tasted bad, and the performance didn't justify the hype.
So we built our own.
With backgrounds in dentistry and chemistry, we stripped toothpaste down to what actually matters. A fluoride-free formula with 5% nano hydroxyapatite. No SLS. No unnecessary fillers. Tablets instead of tubes so we could remove preservatives, cut plastic waste, and keep the formula waterless and stable.
That became NOBS Toothpaste Tablets. Effective, gentle, and easy to use every day.
From there, the rest followed naturally. A kids toothpaste safe from the first tooth. Floss designed to remove more biofilm. An alcohol-free mouthwash that supports the oral microbiome. Whitening strips that stay comfortable on sensitive teeth.
Every NOBS product follows the same rule: if it doesn't improve performance, safety, or the daily experience, it doesn't belong. Oral care should be simple, effective, and something you trust enough to use twice a day.
