Bangkok Bites is the newest chapter of a long family journey in plant-based food. Our founder family company, Thai J Tip Food Co., Ltd., was founded in Thailand more than 30 years ago, producing soy-based vegetarian products for restaurants, hotels, and the local market long before plant-based became a global trend. I grew up watching my family build this business with dedication and cultural pride, but I also knew there was another chapter waiting to be written — one where our heritage could reach the world in a completely new form.
In 2024, I decided to carry that legacy forward in my own way. As a Thai-American, women- and AAPI founder, I wanted to create a brand that honored where we came from while reflecting where food culture is going. So I built Bangkok Bites, a modern snack line that transforms authentic Thai flavors into high-protein, better-for-you snacks made from non-GMO soy.
Our journey wasn't smooth. In early 2025, I launched our first products in the U.S. under a different concept — and it failed. The flavors were safe, the story wasn't clear, and the products blended into a crowded market. That experience was humbling but necessary. I realized the future of plant-based snacking wasn't about creating another "healthy" option — it was about leading with flavor, culture, and identity.
So in October 2025, I relaunched as Bangkok Bites with four SKUs inspired by real Thai dishes: Pad Thai and Thai BBQ vegan jerky (14–18g protein, low fat) and Tom Yum and Sriracha protein chips (10–11g protein, low sugar). These snacks bring something new to the category — a blend of global flavor, functional protein, and a texture experience that's genuinely fun to eat.
Today, Bangkok Bites is still run by me, founder-led and fueled by family tradition. Between Bangkok and the U.S., I'm working to show that cultural flavor and plant-based innovation can live in the same bag. Our goal is simple: make better-for-you snacks exciting, inclusive, and rooted in real culinary stories.
