In 2009, Irvin Gunawan opened Irvin's Seafood Restaurant in Singapore. It quickly rose to popularity because of its great-tasting yet affordable fresh crab dishes, especially the signature Salted Egg Crab.
In 2011, a relocation presented new challenges that ultimately sparked a creative turning point for the business. Irvin and his team of renowned chefs persevered by experimenting and crafting new and unique dishes. After spending hundreds of hours innovating, the Salted Egg Fish Skin and Salted Egg Potato Chips were finally born in 2014.
This success led to significant expansion. In 2016, due to growing popularity, Irvin made the leap to open his first physical retail store in Vivocity. The brand continued its rapid growth, expanding overseas in 2017 to become an iconic global brand operating in over 10 countries. By 2020, IRVINS products had launched in popular supermarkets and convenience stores around the world. In 2021, the brand continued to innovate by collaborating with popular instant noodle brand NISSIN to release a series of salted egg instant noodle flavours.
