Information
I was born and raised in the city of Rosario located in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Though, both my parents were originally from the province of San Juan, Argentina. Growing up, my parents taught me about San Juan and spent most of my holidays there. San Juan amazed me, from a very young age, with its mountains, heat, sun, and, specially, its vast vineyards.
In 2014, while living in Rosario, an oppotunity of combining the things that captivited me from San Juan, appeared: purchasing a family-owned vineyard and its raisin processing plant.
I shared my vision with friends, family, and partners and, with their support, in 2015 NATURAL FOOD ARGENTINA was established.
Raisin manufacturing was an unknown field for us at the beginning. However, with the kind support from colleages and former employees, we began to widen our knowledge and started looking for ways to improve the raisins we offered and how to grow in the industry.
We visited Turkey, a leader in raisin manufacturing, and were to meet with colleages that furthered our knowledge on both harvesting and processing. In addition to it, we purchased a processing line and shipped to San Juan.
With the new knowledge and processing line, the raisins we started to offer were finally up-to-part with the ones of key players in the industry, for which we had the potential to expand.
Through trade shows, such as expo west, we have been able to meet big clients and reach into new markets, as well as to establish connections with colleages all over the world.
This way we became the first company to bring the california-developed Dried On The Vine method to Argentina.
At the moment, we're Argentina's biggest integrated raisin manufacturing company. Each year we partner with more local producers and share our knowledge on how to improve the quality of the raisins that are grown and harvested in San Juan.
