Our company, which was originally intended to be founded by the first Hirohei, was founded in 1954 as a rice shop by my niece's grandmother and grandfather.
Cherishing the rice grown in the region, they continued to provide guidance on rice cultivation, supplying fertilizers and pesticides, and teaching cultivation methods. Times have changed, but by producing rice, they have taken on the role of passing on the region's rice-growing culture to the future.
Commitment to quality: We pursue the balance of sweetness and texture that differs for each variety, and are constantly conducting research in pursuit of even better quality.
Contribution to the local community and innovation: We aim to lead and contribute to local agriculture with our new management philosophy, and have been awarded the Chunichi Agriculture Award as young farmers in Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture.
Passing on to the next generation: We want to utilize the blessings of Nagano Prefecture, which has the highest life expectancy in Japan, to contribute to people's health and welfare through safe and secure food.
High quality standards: Our rice meets extremely high quality standards, having been selected as rice presented to the Imperial Household.Providing specially cultivated rice: We mainly produce "specially cultivated rice" in which the nitrogen content of pesticides and chemical fertilizers is reduced to 50% or less compared to conventional levels in Nagano Prefecture. This reduces the burden on the environment while providing consumers with a safe product.
Innovative fertilizer: We use high-quality domestic fertilizer and employ unique, painstaking cultivation methods, such as varying the amount, timing, and type for each rice field.
Research and Improvement: We constantly research the best cultivation methods for each variety, striving to achieve a balance of sweetness and texture to achieve high-quality flavor.
